EI-HPA carries the name Luca Pancalli, honouring an Italian Paralympic leader. It emerged as ITA Airways’ A330-900neo flagship, delivered on 13 July 2023.

This aircraft marked a new era in long-haul travel for Italy’s flag carrier. It offers three classes of service: 30 lie-flat business seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 237 economy seats, including 36 “comfort economy” seats. Its "Airspace" cabin design—created by Walter De Silva—brings elegance and well-being onboard through mood lighting, natural materials, and seamless class flow.
