Description:
Francesca Hayward and the Royal Ballet soundtrack for the film version of "Romeo and Juliet" The Royal Ballet's film version of "Romeo and Juliet," which has been released sequentially in Japan since March 2020. Juliet, played by Francesca Hayward, a Principal of the Ballet who has been in the news for her appearance in the film version of "Cats," has won the hearts of many people, not only ballet fans, with her dainty performance. The soundtrack disc of this gorgeous film is now available, starring William Bracewell, who is rapidly gaining popularity for his sublime performance as Romeo, choreographed by Kenneth MacMillan, and directed by Michael Nunn of the Ballet Boys. William Trevitt has played a central role in the music, which is an excellent condensation and re-composition of Prokofiev's masterpieces without sacrificing the speed of the film's storyline. The performance is by the Royal Opera House Orchestra of Covent Garden, conducted by Cohen Kessels, Music Director of the Royal Ballet. This is the orchestra's first studio recording in a long time, and the performances are so well-tuned that each scene comes to life, bringing back to life the excitement of the film. Naxos Japan
