Description:
The "Munich International Music Competition" is held in Munich, organized by the Association of German Public Radio (ARD). The competition is held in different categories each year, and it is known as an extremely difficult competition to win the first prize. The competition always includes contemporary works, and contestants are required to perform "state-of-the-art works" of 8 to 12 minutes in length, while at the same time providing the audience with the "pleasure of witnessing several world premieres with different interpretations. This album contains "first prize winners' performances" of the pieces from 2004 to 2016, including first performances by the Ebène Quartet and Tamestit. Naxos Japan
