Description:
Long-awaited first reissue of a European jazz classic and extremely rare album! We Release Jazz label, which has attracted attention for its reissues of Fukuira's works, has simultaneously reissued two rare albums from the 70's by the Boileau Terrasse Quintet, a treasure of the local Swiss scene. The original is thrilling and agonizing, while the covers by Roland Kirk and Freddie Hubbard are groovy and superb. This is the first reissue of this masterpiece from the era when European jazz music was at its most brilliant. The Boileau-Terrachet Quintet was formed by Jean-François Boileau, a pianist, and Raymond Terrachet, a flutist and saxophonist, who were active in the Swiss local scene, and are well known for their performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival. This is the first reissue of their 1974 album "Boillat Therace Quintet," the best of which was released in the early 2000s, but this is the first time it has been reissued as an album. The originals are still in high demand due to being self-released; A2 is original by Roland Kirk and B3 is original by Freddie Hubbard. The cool B2 is by Keith Jarrett and also on the Gary Burton & Keith Jarrett co-written album. The original A1, 3 and B1 are also thrilling and agonizing death. Released on the We Release Jazz label, which has produced reissues by Fukuira, Placebo, and Stuff Combe.Nina Simone's 1982 album for the small French label Carrere is now available on Verve. It is not so well known, but for Simon, it is very important. Although not as well known, this is a very important album for Simon, and contains many personal songs. Among them are "I Sing Just To Know That I'm Alive," "I Was Just A Stupid Dog To Them," and the Gilbert O'Sullivan cover "Alone Again (Naturally)," an improvisation about the loss of his father. )." The song is very deep, and the lyrics are very beautiful. It was a very lonely time for her, her mental health was deteriorating, and her family was falling apart, but it was in such despair that one of her most famous songs, "Fodder In Her Wings," was born, a song that would be sung many times later in the decade. Nina Simone herself considers it one of her favorite studio albums. All of the songs are Simon's originals except for one O'Sullivan cover, which she performed with a band of African musicians she met in the Paris music scene at the time. 180g vinyl LP.
