Description:
The debut album is back, and it is a masterpiece that already shows off her outstanding voice without regret! The mere mention of the name "Marina Shaw" should make many fans excited, recalling her best-selling album "Who Is This Bitch, Anyway? Her records are collected in the "Who Is This Bitch, Anyway? At any rate, her jazz, rhythm and blues, and mellow ballads were all outstandingly skillful at this point. It seems like only yesterday that I introduced this album in my book, "The Original Kote Kote Deluxe," which I was working on at the time, and praised it highly. This recording was made in October 1967. In August of that year, she was selected as a singer for the prestigious Count Basie Orchestra, and the album was produced at a time when she was literally riding the wave. The combination of instruments is gorgeous, and in addition to the so-called jazz big band formation, one can also hear the echoes of mixed chorus, strings, organ, vibraphone, and other instruments. Another feature of "Out Of Different Bags" is the presence of an acoustic bass instead of the electric bass used on the single version. All arrangements are by Richard Evans. ~Bonus tracks include six singles recorded and released before this album. Commentary: Kazunori Harada
