Chihiro Yamanaka is a world-renowned jazz pianist based in New York. This long-awaited new album is the first album in two and a half years to be recorded entirely in New York. The album features a wide variety of songs, including "Today Is Another Day" and "Old Days," both newly written by Yamanaka with beautiful themes, Keith Jarrett's classic "So Tender," and Kazuo Zaitsu's "Stamp No Nai Okurimono (Departures Without Stamps)," among others. The piano trio formation allows the audience to fully enjoy Yamanaka's energetic and lyrical playing, which is his true calling card. Backing Yamanaka on this album is Yoshinori Waki (b), who has been active for many years as a member of Yamanaka's After Hours Trio, Jennifer Vincent (b), known for her participation in Abbey Lincoln's works and her work with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and Yamanaka's CD released in 2001 Yamanaka's debut CD, "Living Without Friday," was released in 2001, and also features his friend Rafrae Olivia Sai (ds).
