In 2008 Dominique Lucas decided to take over some plots of vines in Ballaison, near Thonon-les-Bains, in the Haute-Savoie department.  The 12-hectare estate is managed biodynamically on an exceptional terroir composed of molasse on the upper part of the plots and clay on the lower part; culminating between 420 and 520 meters above sea level, facing due west.  These conditions allow wines of great aromatic intensity and unique finesse.  The Terroir du Leman Un Matin Face au Lac is 100% Chasselas from old vines.
