Delaney & Bonnie & Friends
Description:
After Blind Faith broke up, Eric Clapton stayed in the U.S. and became friends with Delaney & Bonnie, the opening act for Blind Faith's North American tour, and began working as their support guitarist, participating in the recording of their second album "Home" (1969). He participated in the recording of their second album, "Home" (1969). He also participated in a tour of Europe and England that started on November 27, 1969, and ended with great success. The tour was also notable for the fact that, in addition to Eric Clapton, backing members included George Harrison, Traffic's Dave Mason, and Rita Coolidge. The concert in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, was recorded and broadcast as a special program for a local TV station. The set list of the December 10 concert at Copenhagen's Falconer Theatre includes eight songs in its entirety.Eric Clapton's guitar playing here differs from the approach taken by the two previous bands, and he makes the most of the band's sound as a guitarist in his own band, which is similar to what Derek and the Dominos did later on. George Harrison and Dave Mason, like Eric Clapton, also deliver the kind of fluid solos that make this band's live show so exciting. One additional bonus track is a live studio recording of the band's appearance on the popular music TV program "Beat Club," which was recorded during the German tour. Imported domestic version with bilingual booklet in English.
