"This offers a completely different aromatic profile with its intense floral, earth and spice aromas that add considerable breadth to the red currant, plum and blue pinot fruit suffused nose. The flavors are not quite as concentrated or complex as those of the Clos de la Roche but the tannins are finer and there is slightly better detail as well on the dusty, firm and hugely long finish. We'll see in time but there appears to be just a bit more overall potential and hence the very slight difference in the ranges. Drink 2023+."  Allen Meadows, Burghound
