The Welsh String Quartet, whose debut CD (Mozart: String Quartet in C major, K.465 "Dissonance", FOCD9682) released in 2015 was highly praised as "a happy encounter of layered harmony and clean sound", was formed in 2006 and continues their progressive activities. The Welsh String Quartet was formed in 2006. Beethoven's 16 works have been called "the Bible of string quartets. The members of the Welsh quartet are from the same age group as the "Gakusei" when he created his first set of works, Op.18. The new project of the Welsh Quartet, which celebrates its 10th anniversary, is a recording of the complete works of Beethoven's string quartets.
