Every slip dress deserves a companion for cooler rooms and evening air. This is it — a soft black velvet bolero, cut to drape rather than fasten.

The Silk Velvet Bolero is the cover-up made for the Velvet Atelier dresses. It is cut from the same black silk velvet, in a loose, open shape with soft batwing sleeves that fall in deep folds from shoulder to wrist.

There is nothing structured about it — no buttons, no closure — it simply rests across the shoulders or slips down the arms, framing a neckline and an embroidered bodice without hiding them. Plain and unadorned, it lets the embroidered dress beneath remain the centre of attention.

Worn here over the Noir Rose gown, it works just as easily over any of the embroidered velvets, or over a plain slip for an evening of its own.

Styling. Drape it across the shoulders for a soft portrait neckline, or let it fall to the elbows. It pairs naturally with pearls. As a companion to the embroidered dresses it keeps the look cohesive — the same velvet, the same depth of black.
