Provenance

Crafted in our own wonderful workshop using traditional techniques, this beautiful ring has been thoughtfully designed to be cherished for a lifetime of love and wear. At its centre sits a natural ruby, chosen for its exceptional quality and distinctive colour. Personally selected by Sam during his trip to Sri Lanka - long celebrated as the source of the world’s finest sapphires - the stone has been responsibly and ethically sourced.

This ruby has such a classic colour - a deep and intense pinkish-red. We love the elongated step-cutof this stone. Claw-set and surrounded by a halo of ten round brilliant-cut diamonds, each meticulously matched in colour and clarity. The outline of the cluster follows the elongated shape of the central ruby and the overall look is extremely flattering on the finger.

The gallery is designed as a basket featuring linear open-work. The shoulders are slightly open and naturally slope to form a solid gold D-shape band. The yellow gold is 14ct - our favourite alloy for its durability and soft tone - and the ring has been hallmarked at Sheffield Assay Office.

Inspired by antique design, we have ensured that the profile of this ring remains low on the finger to ensure it is as comfortable and practical as it is beautiful!

• Hallmarks: Assayed in Sheffield, marked with '14K' and '585' indicating 14ct yellow gold.
