The quality of the down in a duvet depends on the size of the bird — the larger the bird, the larger the down clusters and thus higher fill power.

Although duck down cannot be compared directly to goose or eiderdown, the large Moscovy duck down clusters still provide excellent insulating properties. They create a cohesive, airy fill that ensures a lightweight yet warm duvet.

Geismars exclusively uses down from fully mature birds, as these provide the largest clusters, creating the most optimal conditions for the highest quality duvets. The duvet filled with Moscovy duck down has a fill power of 11+, offering unparalleled insulation and a wide temperature range.
