These incredible chunky earrings were designed in the late 1980s by Kalinger, a high-end French costume jewellery brand founded by Catherine and Laurent Martinez. The company’s theatrical, nature-inspired designs paired well with the era's decadent evening wear. Crafted from gold-toned base metal they form gnarled, twisting branches that hold large, faceted teardrop-shaped gemstones in cerulean, azure, slate and sky blue. They have a clip-on attachment. The back is engraved with “Kalinger”. In very good vintage condition with some wear to the gold-plating at the rear - not visible when worn.
