Vittorio Formaggia is an Italian violin maker. He has been hand building instruments in the Cremonese tradition since 1979. Formaggia has built hundreds of instruments following the Stradivari model, many of which have won him awards.

Formaggia's viola is beautifully crafted using the finest seasoned Balkan maple and Italian spruce. Hand-applied varnish has a lovely golden-orange hue. This viola features an expansive sound with great projection and full harmonics. Consistently accurate craftsmanship produces a fine instrument that is a reliable choice for professional musicians.
