Ma. Concepcion "Conchitina" Sevilla Bernardo has been credited with having been instrumental in propagating and perfecting the subject of Personality Development. She established The Karilagan Finishing School, first finishing school accredited and recognized by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. Her first book, Making Yourself Over into a Compleat Woman, was part of her thesis. She has a Master of Arts in Education from the Far Eastern University.

She was a director and the Senior Vice-President for Marketing at the Pacific Plaza Towers-Metro Pacific, and a consultant for Philippine Airlines. She conducted seminars and workshops for private and government establishments on Customer Relations, Personality Development, and Social Graces. She is Editor of All About Elan, a monthly colored supplement of the Philippine Daily Inquirer which she conceptualized. This former Vice-Mayor of Makati also worked as Cultural Attaché at the Philippine Consulate in Barcelona, Spain. She speaks Tagalog, English, Spanish and French fluently. She is married to Joseph Delano Bernardo and they have three children.
