Santiago Bose (1942-2002) is an important Filipino "innovator and a bricoleur who explored the shifting archipelago of his culture." He is known for his mixed-media, installation and performance works that are informed by colonial histories and struggles. He positioned himself as a drifter, but his center was always in Baguio, a mountain city in Northern Philippines which was an American hill station in the early 20th century.
His two essays 'Baguio Graffiti' and 'Stray Cats' are part of a series of texts edited by Kevin Power presented in both English and Spanish.
