They’re actually beautiful birds up close with iridescent feathers but they’ll never shake off their links with the dark side. Even the collective noun for ravens is an ‘unkindness’. The raven’s spiritual home is the Tower of London, where it was believed that ‘the tower and the monarchy will fall if ever the ravens leave’. 
My ravens have gathered beneath their spiritual home to decide the fate of a poor soul. Armed with a spear, axe, scythe and a pitchfork, they are unaware that they have been infiltrated by an imposter, a Puffin.
