The Knot style headband is a fun and flirty style for that inner girly-girl in you.

Made from 100% cotton linen, these headbands measure 15" from tip to tip. At their widest (top) they are roughly 2" wide and taper down at the ends, measuring roughly 1/2". Inside the fabric is a 5mm metal headband. Tied on to the headband is a 10" knot/bow that has a thin metal wire inside. Tie the knot anywhere you like, turn it in to a rosette...the options are plenty.

Cookie & the Dude is a hand-made, textile forward brand that has been owned and operated by me, Helen Fawcett, in the California Bay Area since 2002. The name spawns from my two beloved cats I had in college, CookiePuss and Xanadu. Cookie was named after a song by my favorite hip hop crew, the Beastie boys, and Xanadu was named for Olivia Newton John and her glam-tastic role in the movie Xanadu. His name was quickly shortened to The Dude when he became large and lazy, similar to role of The Dude in the Big Lebowski. All in all, the name sums up my youth and growth as I moved through the formative years of my life. The brand, however, is very much inspired by mom, a woman who could go toe to toe with Martha Stewart any day of the week. She taught me how to be resourceful and unique all while adding color and whimsy to the world. After 20 years in the business I am still very much inspired by my mom, the joy I find in seeking out fabrics and findings to create my next collections, and the satisfaction of handmade creations for all to enjoy.
