Pure joy. I'm forever looking for little painted wooden houses like these (like next generation American folk art versions of early German Erzgebirge villages) but pretty much never find them, and what could be better than the color combinations here? With carefully cutout wooden doors nailed to their fronts, and hand-painted paned windows on each and every one too. Satisfying like a great set of old homemade painted building blocks, but even better, super. 

Set of twenty. Longest houses 3 3/4" l, 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" tall. Smallest (little white house with red roof) 1" x 1" . All in great condition, nice general wear, fantastic color. C. 1940s I believe.
