Marrying timeless aesthetics with natural comfort, the Lydford’s distinctive design feature of embedded solid ash legs draws inspiration from mid-century modern silhouettes while celebrating two of our favourite materials to work with: tactile natural fibres and solid timber. 

Its plush, vertically fluted headboard takes its cues from 1950s upholstery, adding sculptural softness and subtly puffy, era-inspired detailing to your bedroom. Inside, the headboard is generously layered with recycled denim and organic wool, which we buy directly from farms on our doorstep in the southwest. This thoughtful combination provides soft, breathable support to create a healthy, fire retardant-free sleep environment.

Our commitment to blending form with function continues into the bed base, where layers of organic coconut fibre and wool provide the essential spring and ventilation your mattress needs, and solid timber legs seamlessly emerge from it as a design accent echoing the headboard’s refined lines.

The Lydford is also available as a headboard or bed base only.

Please note, as all of our beds are made by hand, there may be a variance of up to 3cm (+ / -) on the above dimensions. If you need your bed to be precisely the dimensions requested (to fit in an alcove, for example), please let us know when you place your order.
