A really lovely dress which I don’t know has ever been worn. It’s in excellent condition, and has clearly been lovingly home sewn by a fairly accomplished seamstress, with lots of nice finishing details. 

Smocked bodice is beautifully done In a honeycomb style, as are the cuffs. 

Fixed hand stitched pleats, as opposed to elastic machined smocking, so there is no give. There are no closures, so over the head access then the waist is loose fitting then ties to fit. 

The material feels a lot like Viyella, in a pretty repeat printed floral design on a blue ground. Hand washes well, aft and comfortable to wear.

Bust 36” max (no give)

Waist 30” then intended for smaller with tie

Hips free

Length from nape to hem approx 42” approx 

underarm to cuff 19” (gathers shorter)
