The Coastal Short (based on our linen short pattern) is a great warm weather and travel/vacation garment. It has large, front, inseam pockets that are functional and unique with their scooped shape. This pattern can be easily adjusted to any desired inseam length. You could even lengthen them enough to turn them into a very fun pair of culottes.

This pattern is rated at intermediate difficulty, but is suitable for a patient and confident beginner. This style requires under stitching, in-seam pocket construction, and an elastic waistband. Through the recreating of this style you will gain confidence in very practical sewing skills that can be applied to creating a variety of wardrobe staples.

This pattern has a total of 11 pattern pieces to be cut out and sewn, and also requires a length of elastic for the waistband. This style can be completed in approximately 4 hours, including cutting time.
