Meet Penchant, she is an absolutely INSANE rare late 60s thick cotton velvet dream dress by Quad, the ruler of vintage velvet. I absolutely love this dress, she has a deep claret shade in such a beautiful thick soft rich velvet with contrasting broderie anglaise bodice and cuffs. Her silhouette is divine, with huge puff sleeves, empire waist and square neckline. She is gothic yet fun, which is so typical of Quad designs, I hope she finds the best home..

This girl measures to approx UK size 8/10 could work on a 6

The Penchant has been freshly cleaned and is ready to wear. DRY CLEAN ONLY. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear. Slight discolouring to her white bodice and cuffs in places, which is to absolutely be expected with a dress like this, very slight colour bleed at the edges, neither of which detract and are barely noticeable. For some reason this doesn't really show up in photographs. This has been reflected in her price.

ALL vintage velvet comes with small signs of wear to the pile of the fabric. This is part of the charm.

 This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear.
