A MATERIAL

Shiso is the Japanese name for Perilla, an aromatic plant cultivated in Asia since ancient times and in Japan since the 3rd century. The fragrance of Shiso essence is powerful and complex: green and powdery notes close to mimosa crossed by a spicy wave reminiscent of cinnamon in a halo of mentholated freshness.

THE NAME

The word Shiso preceded by the letter “O” because its sound evokes “eau” (water), because it is the first letter of the word “ode” and because its shape evokes a flake.
