Designed by Joaquim Tenreiro (1906–1992) in 1961–1962, the Curva chair is one of the designer’s most refined and recognizable seating designs. It exemplifies Tenreiro’s ability to unite traditional woodworking techniques with modernist clarity and restraint.

The chair is defined by a gently curved backrest formed by slender vertical spindles, creating a sense of openness while maintaining structural support.
