The Ubiquiti UMR is a highly versatile, enterprise-managed LTE Category 4 mobile router engineered to deliver standalone, on-the-go internet connectivity across remote or dynamic environments. Purpose-built for temporary workspaces, pop-up events, transport fleets, and off-grid remote telemetry sites, this carrier-unlocked device enables immediate cellular network provisioning via an integrated nano-SIM card slot.
Operating independently or scaling securely via the UniFi Mobility Cloud business portal, the UMR bridges wireless cellular data directly onto remote workstations, IP security cameras, or local utility equipment.
The hardware is optimized for continuous operations, utilizing cellular bands alongside physical copper networks to prevent costly connection dropouts:
150 Mbps High-Speed Data Pipelines: Features a reliable LTE Category 4 wireless radio engine, achieving real-world download rates up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps.
Automated Multi-WAN Priority Overrides: Natively handles automatic link failover tracking. If your fixed local office broadband or wired WAN connection fails, the internal routing core instantly redirects all internet traffic onto the backup 4G LTE network within seconds, preventing down-time.
Integrated GPS Structural Location Tracking: Built with a dedicated internal GPS processing module. When managing remote field assets or multi-vehicle shipping fleets, administrators can track the precise physical coordinate locations of devices in real time via a live cloud map interface.
The UMR provides physical diagnostics right at the device frame, reducing maintenance overheads:
1.3" LCM Diagnostic Touchscreen: Features a front-facing liquid crystal monitoring display panel. This gives field technicians instant visual readouts of real-time cellular signal strength, data usage consumption metrics, IP configurations, and device health without requiring a local laptop connection.
Dual Gigabit RJ45 Ports: Equipped with two full-speed 10/100/1000 Mbps interfaces configured for WAN and LAN routing.
Configurable PoE Out Loop: Port 2 can be configured to provide low-voltage PoE output (up to 10 Watts) to run a secondary remote node—such as a UniFi Protect security camera or VoIP terminal—directly from the mobile hub.
The UMR features a unique triple-source input array designed to accommodate field deployment variations across commercial vehicles, temporary structures, and traditional office benches:
| Power Input Method | Voltage / Connection Guidelines | Operational Best-Use Cases | Downstream PoE Output Compatibility |
| Active Power over Ethernet | 48–54V DC via Upstream Switch | Fixed remote structures / Server racks | PoE Passthrough Enabled (Requires PoE+ Input) |
| USB Type-C Line | 5V DC, 3A via Adapter Included | Temporary tables / Work Desks / Bench setups | No output available |
| 4-Pin ATX DC Terminal | 9V DC, 1A Pinout Configuration | Commercial transport / Vehicle batteries / Fleets | No output available |
